I read an article which talks about
moral loneliness.. it says tt we always feel a distance from others, a certain loneliness that can never be filled. Each of us has been touched at some time by hands far more gentler than what we have or will ever experience and that memory stays forever etched in our souls, so that we measure up and compare each and every experience we have with that but can never find one that matches up to it. We often long for a soul-mate, someone that we can trust with our truest thoughts and feelings, whom we are able to let into the most vulnerable and easily violated part of us-our hearts, and whom we can connect with deeply, one who understands our every word and action.
of course, my off-the-cuff summary of the article seriously doesn't serve justice to it, but...
how true!
